Jim served on the Committee of the Kapunda Football Club for approximately 10 years. During this period, he was President for a term of 4 years, as well as serving as Vice President, Committee Member and Selector. A highly skilled player with a keen sense of fair play and sportsmanship, Jim was popular with team-mates and opposition alike. He is still a regular attendee at most local matches where his wit and sense of humour are enjoyed by all who know him. A successful farmer in Kapunda, he has been (and still is) a major contributor to the well-being of the local community.
